Making money, Saving money, Earning money

Most people have heard the term high yield investments before. What most people have not heard, however, is what those words really mean. High yield investments are also known as junk bonds, or speculative bonds.

Basically, when a company has a not-so great corporate credit rating (their debt obligations are below investment grade), their bonds are considered to be junk bonds. Junk bonds are not necessarily a bad thing, as the name would imply. It is true, they are considered to be a risky investment.

However, by investing through mutual funds specifically designed for them, you can minimize your risk to a certain extent. On the upside, if you carefully choose which risky company to invest in, you may end up investing in one that not only makes a strong comeback, but in the end yields an extremely high profit for you, as well.
